First grade reading

First grade reading

Schools across the nation show only 30% of their children reading at a "proficient" level while an astonishing 35%-40%, across all socio-economic backgrounds, are failing to master crucial skills that ASD Reading teaches. These skills include sequencing, motor skills, phonics (phonemic awareness), meaning, grammar and reading comprehension. This system is our patented six skills method for reading success.

At this level ASD Reading teaches kids to read, spell, and comprehend commonly used, short words. Also first graders will develop the visual and auditory skills needed to decode longer words and two-syllable words while learning to blend sound in decoding. Acquiring rapid and automatic word recognition, children will, at the same time, improve comprehension skills by steadily combing words in meaningful combinations. Our fun and animated lessons will further develop accurate and smooth extended writing of sentences while also teaching how simple punctuation is used in their reading and writing.

"I love how the program is customized to teach the students exactly what they need. It focuses only on their weaknesses to help turn these areas into strengths. Once the child masters a level, they move on to the next area that they need to work on. This program helps in the areas of reading, writing, keyboarding skills and keeps me, as a teacher, up to date on the progress that my students are making. Then I know where to focus my time with them as well. Thank you ASD Reading A++!!"
